..A man that, during the Stone Age, even far from us under every possible meaning, was  fascinated  like us  from an ideal of beauty and  tried  to capture   it   with   paintings.    A  beauty   tied   to   animals ( buffalos,  deer,  horses  and  bears )    and   sometimes   a handprint  symbolizing  the will to exist   and  to  own  things and beauty. Some has  seen   a relation  between  the figures and the ideas  of  male  and   female.  The  strength  and  the grace, brutality and  elegance, all  ideas  that  constitute  the base of Giusti's art...

...Therefore the impact hat mass media has had on man, and its function as a sort of common  conscience, which plays a role that alternates between group and personal responsibility, becomes apparent. Muovendosi da tali presupposti, Giusti elabora una sua filosofia che ha per scenario non tanto l’escatologia dell’uomo, il futuro come progresso dell’umanità, ma la sua alterità come conseguenza di un progresso tecnologico che porta l’uomo a sostare davanti all’altro (da lui stesso generato) come davanti ad un abisso.Moving away from these suppositions, Giusti develops his own philosophy which is rooted not so much in the eschatology of man or the future as human progress, but in alterity as a consequence of technological progress which leads man to come face to face with another (that he himself created) as if he were standing before an abyss...

..“If you don’t like this world”, Dick used to always write, “it’s because you haven’t knows other worlds”.  In fact, the art of Giusti together with the art of many colleagues of his generation, looks to these other worlds, creating and recreating paradigms and laws which govern them. 

His latest experiments in fact consist in a curious extra-terrestrial re-setting of his works.  It’s meaningful that after having installed his sculptures in historic places of the Tuscan landscape, the artist feels an imperious need to de-contextualize them completely. ..
